WTF WPF!

Upcoming features in BC2CC

The next update after the big 1-point-0 is coming soon and we are adding some features that no other BC2 server tools have.  I’ve been working hard on creating some interesting things that will make using the tool easier and more efficient.  Of course there are the numerous bug fixes, which I won’t bore you with — then there are the new features.

  1. Stats!
    • Click on a player and the app will query BFBCS.com, the most popular and arguably the best BC2 stat site out there.  If stats for the player don’t exist, the app will let you know that there aren’t any [yet] and that BFBCS has added that player to the queue so down the line there will be stats for that player.
    • I decided to add this because sometimes, as a server admin, you’ll come across a player who has incredible session stats and some people may be crying “cheater!”  Well now you can cross-reference their stats and see if their stats scream cheater.  Most often, stat padders or cheaters will have extremely low squad scores, extremely high ELO skill level (>500) and a great amount of points or rank.  Use this feature to help you become a more efficient admin!
  2. Add any player as an in-game admin with 1 click!
    • Right click a player and you’ll see that you can import their name into the In-Game Commands list where you can apply the appropriate permission levels.  This is pretty  handy when the player has a nearly incomprehensible name.  Let the command center do that work for you.
  3. Move Player
    • A rudimentary version of this exists, but expect a more complex version that will let you switch a multitude of players.
    • The move player dialog will tell you if you can move someone into a squad or not.  If it’s full, they won’t be able to move them.
  4. Kill Player
    • This command is brand new to R11 servers and will let you kill somebody for whatever reason without it reflecting upon their stats.
  5. Chat and Logging box improvements
    • Recently we added improvements so you can copy text from within these boxes so you can keep in sync with your admins.
    • Don’t want it to keep scrolling to the bottom? Use the “unpin” button.  Pin it to keep it scrolling to the bottom as content arrives.
  6. Rounds Per Map
    • I love this feature.  You can set 20 rounds for a map and see what kind of score you can rack up in a night.  Once you finish your 20 rounds, it’ll move on to the next map!  This is great for when you’ve got a Conquest map in your maplist.  Paired rounds of Rush makes sense, but in Conquest 1 is usually enough.
  7. Mix-n-Match Game Modes -- speaks for itself!
  8. View the current and total rounds for each map
    • Previously, we had no idea what round the server was on.  This is a nice addition now that we allow you to set the number of rounds.
    • Hopefully in the future we’ll get access to the # of tickets left, and perhaps the ability to set the # of tickets per round.
